Sustainability Chats - Ethos: Green Power Cooperative

Join us this February for an exciting Sustainability Chat with Ethos Green Power Cooperative! In this session, we explored key questions like: What is a cooperative and how does it differ from traditional businesses? Why is solar energy a viable option in Wisconsin's climate? What are the benefits of adopting solar energy? We’ll also discuss why it’s important to be mindful of our energy consumption, how we can take meaningful climate action, and how you can help support Ethos’ renewable energy mission.

If you haven't heard of Ethos yet, they are dedicated to providing renewable energy to rural areas around Viroqua, WI and recently added a location in La Crosse. Installing both solar and heat pumps, Ethos is working hard to not only provide a needed service but also lead with their core values -

"We (Ethos) impact our climate crisis by creating a culture rooted in clean, locally owned and produced electricity."

Ethos Green Power is a worker-owned cooperative founded in the rolling hills of The Driftless. The word “ethos” is a promise we make to our customers in fulfilling the work we do.  It means we’ve dedicated ourselves to bringing top-tier energy solutions to farmers who trust us with their livelihood, families seeking affordable access to clean energy, and businesses that value sustainability and independence. We listen. We learn. We use our expertise in each project to fit the unique contours of our community. Our passion for solar + battery storage, mini split heat pumps, and home electrification springs from thoughtful conversation and a whole lot of care. More than a job—it’s a mission to empower neighbors in shaping our tomorrow. The journey to own your power starts right now—with you, with us, and with the land we call home.
